What is a learning object?
According to WiscOnline, a learning object may be defined as a “basic building block of a lesson or activity” that is searchable, usable in any learning environment, able to be grouped or to stand alone and transportable from course to course and program to program. Types of learning objects may include assessments, photo displays, interactions, text, simulations, graphics, and video and audio clips.
What is an instructional strategy?
An approach or method used to convey information that results in learning. Examples include case studies, projects, games, discussions, assessments, etc.
How do I submit my work to be featured on your site?
Click on "Submit Work to GIST" on the left menu-bar, create an account, and complete the form and submit your work.
How can I make changes to a submission I have already made?
To make changes to an item you have submitted, email your changes to gist@gsu.edu. Please include the title of your submission and any changes to the text that you need made.
How will I know when my submission has been added to GIST?
We send you an email confirming that we have received your submission. In addition, we will send you an email to confirm your submission has been added to GIST as soon as we have finished processing it. After you receive the confirmation that your submission has been processed, you can search GIST to view your item.
How can I edit my profile?
You can change your profile by logging into GIST, by clicking "Submit Work to GIST." Enter your user ID and password, then choose "Edit Profile". To save your changes, make sure to press the "Save" button when you have completed your changes. You do not need to continue adding another submission unless you wish to do so.
